Medecins du Monde Turkey (MDM-T) / Dünya Doktorları Dernegi (DDD) is a Turkish based humanitarian non-governmental organisation that facilitates access to healthcare for populations affected by armed conflict, violence, natural disasters, disease, famine, poverty and exclusion. 

Our organization collaborates with partners and key stakeholders to implement projects that facilitate access to primary and secondary-level healthcare services to respond to the medical needs of displaced population.

1.Hierarchical & Functional links

Based in Eastern Aleppo, the drug dispenser is under the line management of the line management of the Pharmacist.

 

EXPECTED PROFILE

Knowledge & Qualification

Institute degree in related field, or significant relevant experience.

 

Experience

At least 1 years of professional experience.

 

Languages

·     Required: Arabic (oral and written).

·     Preferred: English.

 

IT & Equipment

·     Good proficiency with Microsoft package

Skills and Qualities required:

·       Diplomatic.

·       Good communication

·       Familiar with multicultural environment.

 

2.RESPONSIBILITIES

Main Responsibilities

·       Stock Management and Quality Control

·       Reporting

·       Other related task.

3.Function Details

3.1  Stock Management

·       Stock management of the pharmacy;

·       Receive the drugs and medical supplies required in the centre;

·       In charge of the bi- weekly medical inventory for all the drugs and consumables in the pharmacy (physical counts).

·       Work closely with the centre`s General Practitioners for clinic’s drugs and consumables orders every two weeks;

·       Ensure that all items are well organised and correctly stored, well protected, fully identified and easily accessible (cleanliness, security, access, etc.);

·       Ensure the pharmacy refrigerator is functioning properly;

·       Monitor the temperature on regular basis, alert logistics, alert the logistics if there are any issues;

 

           3.2.Reporting

·       Fill the daily and bi-weekly consumption sheets and send it every two weeks to the pharmacist.

·       Maintain pharmaceutical records and prescriptions;

·       Provide regular reporting on her/his activities to the line manager upon request;

·       Provide a mission report and/or handover document at the end of contract;

 

3.3.Other position related tasks

·       Participate in any specialised responses, as requested by DDD.

·       Participate in internal work meetings and inform DDD team on logistic issues;

·       Report any security related issues to the line manager;

·       Support operational organisation of field trips and DDD activities;

·       Any other relevant duties requested by the line manager or technical referent.
